BYLAWS

PREAMBLE

PURPOSE OF THE DWP COMMITTEE

The purpose of the DWP Committee shall be to create a forum for ratepayers, including Neighborhood Councils and other groups to advocate for their interests.

GENERAL ORGANIZATION

MEMBERSHIP: Each Neighborhood Council or authorized group may select a Representative and Alternate to the DWP Committee.

EXECUTIVE BOARD:

12 Officers

12 NC Area Representatives

ELECTIONS:

Executive Board shall be elected once a year at a General Membership meeting.

VACANCIES:

In the absence of the President, the Vice President shall become President. Vacancies on the Executive Board will be appointed by the President and Membership confirmed.

MEETINGS:

The DWP Committee shall meet at least six times a year.

The Executive Board may meet as needed.

The Outreach Chair is responsible for distribution of all communications.

The DWPC will operate in a transparent manner; not subject to the Brown Act.

Meetings may be conducted by telephone or electronically.

Robert Rules or Order will be followed. President has final authority.

Agendas will be distributed in advance of the meetings.
